a dinosaur easter bunny

a what?

recently discovered archived photo of dinosaur easter bunny (chocolasaurus)

A recent conversation with a friend of mine about the difficulties the Easter Bunny faces set us to wondering about the true nature of the Easter 'Bunny'. "What sort of difficulties?" I hear you ask. What about the notion of a tiny little bunny rabbit that is somehow capable of leaping over 7 foot fences just so it can deliver Easter eggs to hiding places in the backyards of kid's homes everywhere. And just how does this poor little fluffy creature carry these eggs? The list goes on, but you get the idea.

We quite quickly came to the realisation that the only viable way to explain these seeming superpowers would be if the Easter fellow was in fact a Dinosaur Easter Bunny (which we dubbed with the scientific name Chocolasaurus). The image to the left was recently discovered in a well known records office. The mystery begins...

Following this stimulating conversation, combined with the amazing archival imagery, I thought I should do a bit of investigation into the possible existence of such a creature. This page contains just a few of my findings; including other websites exploring the issue, examples of modern day reference to the creature and a few extrapolations of my own.

pascoasaurus-bunny

Amazingly, evidence has already been documented supporting the existence of a Dinosaur Easter Bunny, in this case the scientific name is Pascoasaurus-bunny. What is not clear to me is why this clear and certain evidence has not been published in mainstream scientifically sound magazines or journals. Is there some sort of a conspiracy? I'd say so, since now the only website that existed to expose this particular dinosaur has itself become extinct. The mystery continues.

what about ducks?

Well, the Easter Bunny has been hinted at having little yellow ducklings on the scene. Are they helpers? Are they dino-ducks too? An artist's impression follows:

no, come on, really

On a slightly more sane note, you could just visit National Geographic and try their real Dinosaur Egg Hunt. Or take some time to read about the buck toothed dinosaur (Incisivosaurus gauthieri) or the rather fascinating Time Capsule Dinosaur Eggs project.
